Support the RSJ golf course by appearing at a Irvine City Council or Planning Commission meeting.  Click on a link below to sign up to speak at or attend a meeting.  All meetings ​take place in the City Council Chambers at Irvine City Hall, 1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine.  View map location

Never Attended a Meeting Before?

Tips
  • Those wishing to speak must fill out a Speakers Card before the meeting.
  • Each speaker has up to 3 minutes to speak.
  • If you wish to read aloud a letter addressed to the City Council or Planning Commission, make 6 copies to pass out to the five members, plus one copy for the City Clerk.
  • Be polite and respectful in your comments to the Commission.

Talking Points
  • Support NO changes to the City's General Plan and zoning for the golf course.
  • Development on the golf course will further increase traffic on Culver, Harvard, Michelson and University which are already clogged with traffic.
  • Development on the golf course will harm bird and wildlife who use the golf course as a contiguous wildlife corridor it shares with Mason Park and the San Joaquin Sanctuary.
  • The RSJ golf course is Irvine's only affordable golf course.
  • The golf course has been an open space amenity for Irvine residents for over 50 years and continues to be a profitable business with over 150,000 golfers visiting annually.

City Council Meetings*

The City Council meets at ~5:00pm until 6:30pm on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.  We'll send you an email 4 days prior to notify you on the exact start & end time.

Planning Commission Meetings*

​The Planning Commission meets at 5:30 pm on the first and third Thursday of each month.  ​We'll send you an email 4 days prior to notify you on the exact start & end time
